Overview & Objectives

This project analyzes Udemy course data using Power BI. It helps users understand total courses, total lectures, total revenue, total reviews, popular courses, paid versus free course distribution, subject performance, course publishing trends, monthly revenue, course price distribution, and the relationship between revenue and subscribers. The dashboard includes two report pages. The first page focuses on platform overview, key metrics, popular courses by subscribers and reviews, paid versus free courses, lecture distribution, courses published each year, subject distribution, and monthly lecture details by subject. The second page focuses on monthly revenue, top revenue courses, revenue by subjects, revenue by levels, price distribution, and revenue versus number of subscribers.

Project Goal

Build a clear Power BI dashboard that helps users explore Udemy course performance, compare subjects, understand revenue trends, and identify popular courses.

The Business Problem

Udemy course data contains many fields such as course titles, subjects, prices, subscribers, reviews, lectures, levels, revenue, publishing year, and months. It can be difficult to understand course performance, revenue patterns, and subject-level trends without one clear interactive dashboard.
Methodology

My Approach

  • 1I cleaned and prepared the Udemy course dataset.
  • 2I created Power BI measures for total courses, total lectures, total revenue, total reviews, subscriber counts, course revenue, and subject performance.
  • 3I designed dashboard pages for course overview and revenue performance analysis.
  • 4I added visual comparisons by course, subject, level, year, month, revenue, subscribers, lectures, reviews, and course price.
