Overview & Objectives

This project analyzes Shark Tank data using Power BI. It helps users understand total seasons, total pitchers, deal ratio, total deal amount, average valuation requested, average amount asked, startup industries, deal outcomes, pitcher gender distribution, startup locations, and individual shark investment behavior. The dashboard includes multiple report pages. The overview page focuses on season-level performance, deal ratios, industries, startups, states, pitchers, and deals made. The investor profile pages compare shark investment behavior for Barbara Corcoran, Daymond John, Kevin O Leary, Lori Greiner, Mark Cuban, and Robert Herjavec across seasons and industries.

Project Goal

Build a clear Power BI dashboard that helps users explore Shark Tank performance, compare investors, identify top industries, and understand startup deal patterns.

The Business Problem

Shark Tank data contains many connected details such as seasons, episodes, industries, startups, pitchers, deal amounts, valuations, investor names, states, and deal outcomes. It can be difficult to understand investment patterns and shark performance without one clear interactive dashboard.
Methodology

My Approach

  • 1I cleaned and prepared the Shark Tank dataset.
  • 2I created Power BI measures for total seasons, total pitchers, deal ratio, total deal amount, average valuation requested, average amount asked, and investment totals.
  • 3I designed dashboard pages for overview analysis and individual shark profile analysis.
  • 4I added visual comparisons by season, year, industry, state, startup, pitcher type, deal status, and shark investor.
