Overview & Objectives

This project analyzes Mexico toy sales data using Power BI. It helps users understand sales revenue, total profit, order volume, profit margin, average order value, product performance, store performance, and city-level sales trends. The dashboard includes three report pages. The first page focuses on sales overview with revenue, profit, orders, product category performance, monthly revenue, profit by store location, and revenue by day. The second page focuses on product analysis with product pricing, cost, profitable products, revenue contribution, price distribution, and revenue by category over time. The third page focuses on store insights including total stores, revenue per store, top profitable stores, store locations, open date performance, and average monthly revenue by store location.

Project Goal

Build a clear Power BI dashboard that helps users explore toy sales performance, product profitability, category revenue, and store-level insights.

The Business Problem

Sales data can be difficult to understand when revenue, profit, orders, product categories, store locations, cities, and product pricing are analyzed separately. The business needed one clear dashboard to monitor sales performance, identify profitable products, compare store locations, and understand revenue trends across Mexico toy stores.
Methodology

My Approach

  • 1I cleaned and prepared the toy sales dataset.
  • 2I created Power BI measures for total revenue, total profit, total orders, average profit margin, average order value, product cost, units sold, and store-level revenue.
  • 3I designed dashboard pages for sales overview, product analysis, and store insights.
  • 4I added visual comparisons by store location, product category, day, city, product name, store name, and month.
