Overview & Objectives

This Power BI dashboard provides a comprehensive analysis of global mortality data between 1990 and 2019. The solution enables users to explore death rates across countries, investigate the leading causes of death, analyze historical trends, and compare disease impacts across different regions. The dashboard combines interactive filtering, KPI tracking, country-level comparisons, trend analysis, and disease-specific visualizations to provide meaningful healthcare insights from large-scale historical datasets.

Project Goal

The goal of this project was to transform complex global mortality data into an interactive analytics solution that helps users explore trends, compare countries, identify major causes of death, and understand long-term healthcare patterns.

The Business Problem

Large healthcare datasets often contain thousands of records that are difficult to interpret through spreadsheets alone. Understanding mortality trends, identifying leading causes of death, and comparing countries requires an analytical solution that allows users to interact with data dynamically and uncover meaningful patterns.
Methodology

My Approach

  • 1The dataset was cleaned, transformed, and modeled in Power BI
  • 2Relationships were established between countries, years, and causes of death.
  • 3Interactive slicers were implemented for filtering by year, country, and cause of death.
  • 4Multiple visualizations were designed to highlight trends, rankings, distributions, and comparative analysis.
